INSERT FOR LOOSE  BEARINGBUSH IN LEFT SIDE CRANKCASE.

The unlucky persons who have a loose bearingbush in the left crankcase couldn't do anything else than assemble a new crankcase, this is very expensive. The originality of  your engine will decrease and in some cases also the value of your Harley.

The overhauling experts of H.D.Hutten Motoren have devoleped a method to save the crankcase. The old metal bearingbush will be drilled of the aluminium crankcase. The new hole will be whet accurately. After these operations the crankcase will be heated in a oven. Wenn the crankcase is heated evenly there will be assembled a specialy made alumunium insert. This insert is directly shrunked with nitrogen before it is assembled, so there will be a permanent tight connection. The left crankcase will be assembled on the right crankcase with gearcase cover. After this the insert will be whetted in line with the bearingholes of the crankshaft.

The insert is available separately (€ 84,-) but if you don't have the equipment or the knowledge you can leave it up to us.
